SRD passages are reproduced and adapted with attribution, and any changes are identified within the GameMaster experience.

What CC BY 4.0 Allows

  • Share: copy and redistribute the SRD in any medium or format.
  • Adapt: remix, transform, and build upon the SRD for any purpose.
  • Commercial Use: utilize the SRD content commercially.
  • Attribution: provide credit, link to the license, and note modifications.

Modifications & Adaptations

GameMaster enhances SRD 5.1 content with the following gameplay-focused adaptations:

  • AI-powered game master guidance for improvisational storytelling.
  • Persistent character tracking with automated ability and proficiency math.
  • Digital dice rolling and mechanics summaries for checks, saves, and attacks.
  • Interactive combat prompts and encounter pacing tools.
  • Automatic formatting of statistics, conditions, and dice expressions.
  • Responsive web interface tuned for desktop, tablet, and mobile play.

The unmodified SRD remains available from Wizards of the Coast at the link noted above.

Open Game License (OGL)

Portions of SRD 5.1 are simultaneously covered by the Open Game License v1.0a. GameMaster limits usage to material categorized as "Open Game Content" and deliberately excludes all "Product Identity" as defined by the OGL.

SRD Content Implemented

  • Playable Races: Dwarf, Elf, Halfling, Human, Dragonborn, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Tiefling.
  • Classes & Subclasses: SRD-supported options such as Champion Fighter and Thief Rogue.
  • Bestiary: 300+ monsters with SRD stat blocks and combat traits.
  • Spells: 319 SRD spells across cantrips through 9th level.
  • Magic Items & Equipment: Every SRD item, weapon, and armor entry.
  • Core Rules: Ability checks, saving throws, attack resolution, conditions, and travel/exploration guidance.

Content Deliberately Excluded

GameMaster does not surface Wizards of the Coast "Product Identity," including but not limited to:

  • Non-SRD races (for example, Aarakocra, Tabaxi, Genasi).
  • Non-SRD subclasses (for example, Battle Master, Assassin, Arcane Trickster).
  • Setting-specific locations, factions, plotlines, or deities from official campaign worlds.
  • Named spells and signature abilities outside the SRD (for example, Bigby's Hand, Tasha's Hideous Laughter).
  • Trademarked logos, artwork, or terminology restricted by Wizards of the Coast.
